Rasheed Wallace is a true veteran in the NBA and fans respect him for his contributions. He is now back with the team, but as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to TMZ Sports, Shams Charania of The Athletic officially announced that Rasheed Wallace has agreed to join the Lakers staff as an assistant coach under new head coach Darvin Ham.
For those who do not know, Rasheed Wallance and Darvin Ham played together on the Detroit Pistons from 2004 to 2005. This also is not Wallace’s first stint as an assistant coach.
He was an assistant coach with the Pistons from 2013 to 2014. He was also that last season with the Memphis Tigers. Wallace played 16 seasons for the then-Washington Bullets, Blazers, Hawks, Pistons, Celtics and Knicks. We will have to see how he’ll perform as the Lakers’ assistant coach.
