Johnny Depp’s Legal Team Receives Hero’s Ovation After Amber Heard Verdict

Amber Heard was slammed with the verdict in her legal battle with Johnny Depp in Virginia. The jury determined that she acted in “actual malice” against her ex-husband, and now she must pay. The crowd was obviously on Depp’s side too.

As TMZ reported, and video below shows, Johnny Depp’s legal team received a huge ovation after the verdict was handed down in their client’s favor. Johnny Depp was not around for the verdict, but he was obviously with the crowd in spirit.

Depp’s legal team just left the courthouse to thunderous applause, even though their client wasn’t there … it’s clear to see where the crowd’s loyalty stood.

After everything is said and done, Amber Heard must pay Depp $8,350,000. We’ll have to see how fast she wires that money over to Johnny, but an appeal could also be in the cards.

Amber Heard was not happy about this decision and she declared that it set women back, as she claims to have been acting as a representative for all domestic abuse survivors. Either way, this trial certainly made celebrities out of Johnny Depp’s legal team.
