Johnny Depp ‘Humbled’ After Winning Defamation Case Against Amber Heard

The longstanding defamation case trial has finally come to an end as the jury, as expected, finally ruled in Depp’s favor on Wednesday, June 1st. Heard was not happy about this at all, but Johnny Depp was humbled.

Depp took to Instagram to address his win against ex-wife Amber Heard with a long statement, where he mentioned how his life completely changed because of these allegations.

Johnny Depp is thankful to the jury for ruling their decision in his favor. Depp was not present in the courtroom but he did post a lengthy statement on Instagram to show his appreciation. He wrote, “The jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled. From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome.”

Depp went on to explain why the truth was so important and now he is “at peace” knowing that it is all over. “Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that,” he explained.

Depp concluded, “The best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun.” Now it is the public’s turn to sift through the outcome.
