Halsey was recently diagnosed with several serious health problems. The “Bad at Love” singer had to have surgery to deal with complications arising from chronic endometriosis. Halsey has had no problems dealing with her medical issues, but Capital Music Group is giving her plenty of issues.
Halsey has a new single that she wants to release as soon as possible. The record label has insisted on a “fake viral video” before they are willing to do so. Halsey took to TikTok to do just that.
“Basically I have a song that I love and I wanna release ASAP but my record label won’t let me.
I’ve been in this industry for eight years and I’ve sold over 165 million records and my record company is saying I can’t release [the song] unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok.
Everything is marketing.”
The video received over 1 million likes by lunchtime on Monday. Capital still has not released the new single. Halsey explained that the label was very vague about what they expected in terms of a viral video.
The struggle for Halsey to have the new single released is going viral on its own. Fans will continue to demand the new track as Halsey continues to post videos about the label holding her down. Eventually, the track will be released. Everything is marketing.
