The ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard has dominated the news in the last month and it shows no signs of stopping either. Everyone and their grandmothers have already shared their thoughts on the matter. Depp’s legal team also dismissed Amber Heard’s bloody lip photo.

During their trial, Amber Heard detailed an attack allegedly done by Johnn Depp, which resulted in her having a busted lip. Her lawyers tried to prove the injury with a photo but was dismissed by the judge because it wasn’t submitted in time for trial.

TMZ obtained the photo in question, where Amber Heard claimed that Johnny struck her in the mouth during an argument.

“I was in one of these fights, I believe it’s this one, in his downtown ECB, we call it, loft, and we’re in the kitchen living room area and he backhands me.

And, you know, it was, you know, he wears a lot of rings. I remember kind of just feeling like my lip went into my teeth, and it got a little blood on the wall. Just that simple, a little bit of blood on the wall.”

The photo showed Amber Heard with a cut on her lip, along with a note that reads, “I shall return xxx,” a note she said Depp left behind. Johnny Depp’s legal team said that the photo is from 2012.

In the UK defamation case, Amber’s witness statement said the first violent incident was in 2013, which was a year after the photo was taken. It was also said that Heard messed up her dates in the UK case. After she got her therapist records, it was revealed that the alleged abuse from Johnny stemmed back to early 2012.

The photo and alleged incident are one of many allegations thrown around by both of them during the messy case. The trial is now on a break until May 16th and we’ll have to see who wins the trial in the end.
