DaBaby has had two huge fallouts in his life over the last year or so, on top of other turmoil he’s been a part of. His breakup with DaniLeigh, a well-known influencer and artist, was extensively publicized, as they both utilized their social media platforms to expose and criticize each other. DaBaby never apologized for their Instagram Live encounter, according to the mother of one.

DaniLeigh is speaking from the heart. You couldn’t scroll through social media at the end of 2021 without seeing another update or hot take about the multihyphenate’s beef with her baby daddy. But in recent months, the 27-year-old has been dedicated to her healing.

Things between the two blew up after an Instagram Live session in which the “Babysitter” hitmaker was taping Dani nursing their daughter during a quarrel. For a few days, things between the two were tumultuous, resulting in some intriguing internet content. However, DaniLeigh appears to be ready to put the past behind her, according to her most recent interview.

Following her return to social media earlier this week, the mother of one released “Dead to Me,” her first track since 2020. There she appears to address all of the drama, as well as a tell-all interview with iHeartRadio’s Angie Martinez. Dani talked about her public feud with DaBaby.

It was very triggering, very sad. I wish it didn’t happen because I don’t want my baby to see that later on in life, but she’ll grow to be her own person and be able to take things in. During that time, I definitely wasn’t his side piece, and he knows that too. It was very selfish, being that I just had our baby.

Dani, on the other hand, understands that the whole event has only served to teach her to love herself more. The Movie vocalist said at the end of her interview that she plans to release an EP called My Side on which she will find “closure.” DaniLeigh’s full interview with Angie Martinez can be found below.
