Adrian Peterson might have been freed from his legal troubles but he still has to deal with some personal problems. The NFL star is reportedly on his way to seek some counseling in regards to said issues.

As noted earlier, The NFL free agent was arrested in February for domestic violence incident with his wife Ashley. However, on Monday the prosecutors decided not to criminally charge Peterson, but instead, he has to seek treatment for his alcohol addiction.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office confirmed to ESPN that Adrian Peterson is now required to complete 20 domestic violence and alcohol counseling sessions following his February arrest.

It was also noted that Peterson agreed to complete the counseling. He is required to complete the counseling sessions within six months to avoid misdemeanor charges.

Fans have nothing to worry about now. Peterson will now seek proper treatment and look forward to the better part of his life, free from addiction and the problems that stem from it.
