Adrian Lewis Peterson was a significant running back for the Minnesota Vikings. He attended Oklahoma University and established the freshman rushing record with 1,925 yards during the 2004 season. Fans should be astonished to learn that Adrian Peterson recently was arrested for domestic violence.

According to law enforcement sources speaking with TMZ, the ex-Vikings running back was detained and booked for felony domestic violence on Sunday at LAX, after airport police received a complaint around 8:30 a.m. regarding a disturbance on a plane departing LAX and attempting to take off on route to Houston.

According to the outlet, Adrian Peterson will be spending the weekend in a jail cell after being caught on his way out of Los Angeles. According to reports, the plane had to turn around and reconnect with the gate after a verbal and physical confrontation between a man and a woman.

Sources said that Peterson was brought into jail following a preliminary investigation and after notifying the FBI as necessary because the claimed victim was seen to have sustained a little mark from whatever happened. The woman is Peterson’s wife, Ashley Brown.

According to the source, once her spouse was escorted off the plane, the flight was able to continue as planned, including Ashley, who stayed on board with the rest of the passengers. The two of them had been in town the night before, attending a DIRECTV Super Bowl party. A representative of Adrian and Ashley gave his statements relating to the fight.

“Earlier today Adrian and his wife Ashley had a verbal argument on a flight, and he was removed from the plane. This is a private misunderstanding between husband and wife and we anticipate it will all be resolved shortly.”

Adrian will be released soon from jail. Fans don’t have to worry much. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
