April turned out to be the bearer of bad news for WWE talents, and they almost made it out of the month without mass releases going down. NXT stars such as Dakota Kai, Malcom Bivens, Harland, and others were released from their contracts on Friday, April 29th.

According to Fightful Select, some of the NXT 2.0 stars that were released from their contracts today are in good spirits. A couple saw the writing on the wall and weren’t keen on resigning with the company.

We’ve spoken to several of the released stars who have been in good spirits, all things considered.

Malcolm Bivens, Dakota KaiRaelyn DivineMila Malani, Sanjana GeorgePersia PirottaHarlandDexter Lumis and Paige Prinzivalli were all released Friday, April 29th.

WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis made the call to release said superstars from their NXT contracts. WWE cited budget cuts as the reason behind the releases. We will continue bringing you all the news you need to know here at Thirsty.
