Kelvin Joseph was a second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in last year’s NFL Draft. The former Kentucky Wildcat brought a lot of promise as a future star into his rookie season. An injury derailed his hopes of a quick start. Now, a murder investigation threatens to derail his career.

Police have named Kelvin Joseph as a person of interest in a homicide investigation in Dallas, according to Yahoo Sports. 20-year-old Cameron Ray was involved in a fight that resulted in him being shot. The March 18 incident resulted in Ray’s death.

Police say that Cameron Ray’s group was not the aggressors in the scuffle. After things calmed down, they walked back to their car. An SUV driven by the men who just jumped them drove past and opened fire, killing Cameron.

Surveillance footage caught the shooting on video. The Dallas PD believes that Kelvin Joseph was involved. One of the perpetrators was spotted wearing a pendant that said “YKDV.” Kelvin Joseph’s rap name is “YKDV Bossman Fat.”

The Cowboys have not commented on the matter. Sources inside the organization said they are aware of the investigation. The team is encouraging Kelvin Joseph to turn himself in.

If it is proven that Kelvin Joseph was involved in the shooting, it could be the end of another promising NFL career. These incidents are becoming far too frequent in the world of sports and entertainment. We will have to wait for the evidence to be presented in court before any further judgment can be made.
