Taylor Hawkins’ death shocked the entire world, and his family was devastated. Travis Barker expressed his shock and grief after the untimely death of Foo Fighters drummer on March 25. Just over two weeks later, the Blink-182 drummer is paying tribute to his longtime friend by getting a hawk tattoo, which he documented with a series of snaps on his Instagram page.

Barker’s fiancée Kourtney Kardashian was by his side nearly the entire time he sat for the piece, which was done by artist Mark Mahoney, as a show of support. In fact, while laying on the lounge chair in the artist’s studio, Kardashian and Barker shared a passionate kiss, while Mahoney continued to work on his outstanding work, which was done at the top of Barker’s left foot, near his ankle.

The former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has both of her arms wrapped around her man’s neck and shoulders during their embrace. “HAWK forever,” Barker wrote in the caption, before giving thanks to the renowned tattoo artist. “Thank you @markmahoney_ssc.” Kardashian can be seen standing next to her man in one of the photos, as he gently touches the side of her right leg.

The reality star, who was dressed in faded blue jeans, a black sweatshirt, and black leather boots, stood there admiring Mahoney’s deft touch with the tattoo machine. On this particular day, he wore an all-black ensemble consisting of fitted pants, a t-shirt, and steel-toed boots. Barker shared an old photo of himself having a conversation with Hawkins in the post’s final image, which appears to be from a number of years ago.
