CNN anchor Anderson Cooper missed Monday night’s CNN program after announcing that he has tested positive for COVID-19. However, both his sons tested negative.

On Monday, the media personality took to social media to update followers on his health status. The correspondent on 60 minutes has two sons, toddler Wyatt and 2-month-old Sebastian, both of whom he also referred to in his post below.

“Just tested positive for Covid,” Cooper posted on Instagram. “Thankfully the kids are negative. Hope to get back to work soon.”

Cooper did not share if he is symptomatic, nor CNN gave a timeframe for his return to the cable news outlet. The place vacated by Cooper tonight on Anderson Cooper 360° was filled by John Berman, who opened the 8 p.m. ET show by simply saying, “I’m John Burman, in for Anderson.”
