Ex-NFL Star Alex Carrington Tased During Crazy Firearm Arrest

Ex-NFL defensive end Alex Carrington was selected by The Bills in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He went on to appear in 59 games for the organization over the course of six seasons. It seems he recently got tased in a wild firearm altercation with the New York police.

TMZ reports that Police in New York revealed recently that former Buffalo Bills defensive end Alex Carrington was tased following a wild altercation with policemen early Monday morning. He was later detained and filed on gun charges and other crimes.

Carrington was pulled over at 1:34 a.m. near Lockport, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. He was reportedly speeding and driving without headlights. During the check, cops assumed Carrington was inebriated and requested him to exit his vehicle so they could administer field sobriety tests.

Carrington, according to cops, refused to comply. The situation became tense when officers claimed they saw a pistol magazine in plain view in the pocket of his driver’s side door while attempting to pull him out of the vehicle. Carrington appeared to try to restart his car and depart the scene at one point.

However, authorities claimed that this is when they tased him and eventually got him out of the car. Officers claimed they discovered a loaded Glock 17 concealed beneath his calf while they were removing him from the vehicle. Before impounding the automobile, they also claim to have discovered two more loaded, high capacity magazines.

Carrington was transported to a local station and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, as well as resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, and other offences. Carrington posed for a mug shot at the station and is still in detention, according to documents.
