Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent are both rap legends and close friends. When it comes to praising one another, the rappers never hold back. Snoop Dogg recently showed 50 Cent a lot of love by calling him a rap legend.

Despite being from opposing coasts, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg have had a long-standing friendship for the better part of two decades. The G-Unit and Death Row icons have accomplished a lot in their decorated Hip Hop careers, from doing songs together to having Snoop appear as a pastor in BMF to hitting the Super Bowl stage together earlier this year, but Snoop says he’s the one still learning from 50’s greatness.

Snoop Dogg during his appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game in November, called 50 Cent a rap legend and said that he’s still taking notes from him to this day.

“50 is going to be a legend in rap forever. His records, movies, sh*t he did just changed the whole game of New York, to run New York for a little bit and put that New York spirit back in the game. He did that. He figured that sh*t out and he got that sh*t on lock.”

“I’m a student right now and I’m tryna learn from him. It’s true, you can teach an old dog new tricks — it’s if he’s willing to listen.”

50 Cent discovered the video late Monday, March 21, and reposted it on Instagram, thanking Snoop Dogg for his kind words. “@snoopdogg that sh*t you just said means way more then a award to me,” he replied. Russell Simmons, the co-founder of Def Jam Records, jumped into the comments section to send flowers to both 50 and Snoop, writing, “And I’m still learning from both of you.”

50 Cent and Snoop Dogg have big plans for the future. 50’s STARZ empire will expand further with the release of A Moment in Time: Murder Was The Case, an upcoming series based on Snoop’s 1993 first-degree murder case.

Both rappers will serve as executive producers on the album. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
