Drake is well-known for his one-of-a-kind songs. The Hotline Bling singer is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, with over 170 million records sold, and is RIAA’s highest-certified digital singles artist in the United States. Drake recently passed another milestone, becoming the year’s no.1 best-selling artist in terms of total album units in the United States.
Drake recently achieved yet another professional milestone. According to Chart Data, “.@Drake is now the #1 best selling artist of the year in the U.S. by total album units.” While some fans praised Drake for his accomplishments, others mocked big rappers like Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Nas X.
Naturally, Drizzy’s fans were quick to fill the replies with accolades.
“Without an album out king.”
“goat of the music industry.”
“we’re proud of drake.”
“THE GOAT. hasn’t dropped in 6 months and still on top.”
“Kanye is now the #1 worst selling artist of the year in the U.S. by total album units.”
“and nothing for Lil nas.”
“cardi couldn’t LMAOO.”
“and nothing for Nicki.”
Drake’s team recently celebrated a legal victory following a long legal battle. This is because a New York judge recently handed Drake a major victory by dismissing a case stemming from a 2016 Madison Square Garden concert.
It appears that Kanye will have a difficult time surpassing Drake’s achievement. While the rest of the world waits for Donda 2 to be released on streaming services, the ever-changing album experience is taking place solely on Stem Player. Kanye did himself no favors by releasing Donda 2 exclusively on Stem Player because those aren’t counted as album sales. Maybe one day Ye will change his mind and sales can be counted. Until then, it looks like Drizzy has another W on Ye.
Meanwhile, Drake will be celebrating yet another major accomplishment. Let’s see what the rapper has in store for us next. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
