Pete Davidson was scheduled to be launched to space aboard Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin rockets. New recently broke that Pete was backing out of the flight. Fans speculated about what the reason could have been.

Davidson has been busy with more than just Kanye West. Pete’s career is booming. The SNL star is also working on some films and other projects. Blue Origin announced that the date would be pushed back.

Pete Davidson’s team told TMZ that there was a pretty boring reason for him to cancel his Blue Origin trip. The new date just didn’t fit his busy schedule. It’s as simple as that.

The original launch date was March 23. That date was moved to March 29 and that is when Pete Davidson dropped out. We now know the mundane reason. It was just a scheduling conflict.

Pete Davidson might be able to get on the list for a future launch. There has been no word on whether he is interested in scheduling a new date. Pete would have been the first SNL cast member in space, but not the first SNL star.

William Shatner has hosted SNL plenty of times over the years. The Star Trek star also took a Blue Origin flight, making him the oldest person ever to visit space. Pete would surely like to have the opportunity, but it’s not like you can just buy a space launch ticket at the corner drug store. Time will tell if Davidson will ever make it out of the atmosphere.
