Nicki Minaj and Coi Leray’s friendship reached new dimensions this year. There was speculation about the collaboration of these two. Fans were anxiously anticipating the fantastic collaboration, but Coi’s father was not pleased with it. Nicki Minaj recently cleared all the doubts and gave shouts out to Coi Leray for having fashionable braids.

Coi Leray has always made an attempt to stand apart from the crowd. She has always stood out, whether it was with her unusual style choices like exposing apparel, Ivy Park x Adidas thirst traps, or unconventional New York Fashion Week fits. She is, nevertheless, certainly a trailblazer.

The box braids she wears all the time are one of the most popular trends she’s started. Despite the fact that she did not invent the hairdo, it has subsequently been copied by a slew of other female rappers and musicians. Nicki Minaj acknowledged Coi’s influence with the hairdo in a recent interview with Joe Budden, a widely anticipated confrontation.

“I didn’t know Coi Leray started the trend with the braids, I didn’t know that. I think someone told me afterwards. Cause I was on my little hiatus, and I came back and started seeing everyone wearing these particular kind of braids. I didn’t know Coi Leray started those braids.”
