UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman is certainly one of the top fighters in the world and many consider him as the pound-for-pound world’s best fighter as well. He has competed at a high level for a long time now and always shuts up his critics. It seems Usman called out Jake Paul for a fight as well.
Usman made his debut in MMA back in 2012 against David Glover, with the fight taking place in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance 5. Usman would get a second-round TKO win in the fight.
Jake Paul isn’t afraid to call out top UFC stars for fights as he has called out the likes of Nate Diaz on numerous occasions for a fight. He also did not spare Kamaru Usman as well.
While speaking with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, Kamaru Usman called out Jake Paul for a $100 million fight. Usman also argued that the Paul brothers have an enormous fanbase but can only make noise and not get a big enough payday.
“Absolutely. These guys, they making a lot of noise. That’s good. They got the YouTubers, and they got the new generation, these new kids involved and watching them. That’s fine. But they don’t equate to dollars. It’s not them… Jake Paul, he says, ‘We doing these numbers.’ You can add up every fight Jake Paul has had and their pay-per-view numbers weren’t more than what I did in my last fight. They can say whatever they want to say. He can say this or that. Write me a check for $100M Jake Paul, I’ll be there to kick your ass next week.”
Kamaru Usman previously made it clear that he couldn’t care less that Jake Paul is targeting him. We will have to wait and see if Usman and Paul will one day duke it out inside a boxing ring.
