Derek Wolfe will be able to call himself a Super Bowl champion for the rest of his life. The hulking defensive end won a title in Super Bowl 50 as a member of the Denver Broncos. Wolfe didn’t see the field at all this year after injuring his hip in an early-season practice. Derek spent his downtime away from LaMar Jackson and company pursuing another passion.

Wolfe is an avid big game hunter. It has always been his dream to kill a buffalo. That childhood dream came true recently.

Derek shared a photo with his kill on Instagram. Wolfe said he has dreamed of the day since he was a child. The defensive end killed the buffalo with two archery shots from 67 yards away.

“Took two arrows to bring this 2000lb beast down. 1st at 34 yards and the second a perfect heart shot at 67 yards. A childhood dream came true for me. Thank you @mrs_ajw for setting this up for me. And a big shoutout to @annihilatorbroadheads for the 150g XL broadheads. 2nd slide shows how effective these broadheads were.”

There is no word on what Derek Wolfe plans to do with the 2,000-pound animal. Buffalo burgers might be on the menu at his next cookout. Animal rights activists need not apply.

Many people do not understand the appeal of large game hunting. Derek Wolfe has made it his passion when he is away from the gridiron. Everyone here at Thirsty would like to take the time to congratulate Derek for killing a defenseless animal using a deadly weapon.
