NBA YoungBoy made a bold move when he scheduled his latest album for release on the same day as the posthumous record from King Von. YoungBoy has been trash-talking Durk, Von, and other associated rappers for some time. As it turned out, Von smashed Never Broke Again’s first-week album sales by a sizable margin.

King Von was killed in 2020. Gang violence and ties to NBA YoungBoy’s associates have sparked the nasty feud. Von was killed by Lil Tim, an associate of Quando Rondo who is in NBA YoungBoy’s circle, when Von showed up at a hookah bar to fight Quando with his fists. NBA YoungBoy thought he would get the upper hand in the beef by disrupting Von’s release. The disrespect didn’t pay off in the end.

Lil Durk took to Instagram to celebrate. Durk threw shade at NBA YoungBoy by daring any other rapper to drop on the same day as his new release. Lil Durk was feeling victorious.

“I dare a n*gga drop on my date 3/11/22 but anyway von did 65k”

King Von and Lil Durk were not allowed any contact for the last year of Von’s life after a gang-related attempted murder charge. The two were close since childhood. Durk has no time for anyone who would disrespect his friend.

Durk’s 7220 album will drop on March 11th. Odds are he will have a lot to say and fans will dissect every bar on that album. NBA YoungBoy might need to worry.

Time will tell if NBA YoungBoy continues to clap back. At this point, it appears he has been thoroughly humbled. YoungBoy will likely continue the feud if it keeps getting him money and attention.
