Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Lakers have suffered a rare season sweep against their cross-hallway rivals, the LA Clippers. LeBron James said after yesterday’s humiliating 132-111 defeat that the Clippers are simply the better team. Russell Westbrook doesn’t have much to say at all.

Clippers point guard Reggie Jackson put an exclamation point on his team’s season-long success over the Lakers. Jackson made Russell Westbrook look horrible in the process. Late in the game, Reggie hesitated, crossed Russ over, talked trash, then drilled a three-pointer.

The crowd chanted Reggie’s name as Lakers fans could only hang their heads in shame. The Lakers dropped to a season-worst eight games below .500. The playoffs seem like a pipe dream at this point.

The Clippers are in great shape for the playoffs. The Lakers are the next closest team in the standings, but they would have to have a miracle to get back in it. Reggie Jackson is hoping to pull out some of that magic during the postseason.

It was the same old story for LeBron James and company. The offense was great. The defense was embarrassing. The result was yet another loss.

The Lakers have been horrible since the All-Star break. Everyone on the court and in the front office is looking for an answer. Reggie Jackson is just enjoying putting on a show for the fans.
