Kendrick Lamar has established himself as one of the best rappers in the Hip-Hop world right now and his music continues to touch people all over the world. We haven’t anything new from the Compton MC since he last dropped DAMN back in 2017. We did hear his feature on Baby Keem’s album but not a full-length album of his own.

We didn’t realize it at the time, but “DAMN.” would be the start of a five-year absence for Kendrick Lamar, who had just received a Pulitzer Prize for his work on the album. But that’s exactly what happened, kicking off a journey full of speculation about when Kendrick might return to the music business.

Thankfully, after the revelation that the Compton-based rapper would headline Rolling Loud’s forthcoming performance in Miami this summer, it appears that we may finally be getting a new album soon. Kendrick’s participation at the festival comes after his debut at Day N Vegas, where he performed some of his hits and promised to return very soon.

His set at Rolling Loud, on the other hand, might be a little different. According to a since-deleted tweet from the festival, an album could be on the way, as Kendrick’s headlining spot means exactly what we believe it means. The festival’s organizers teased in their recent tweet.

Kendrick headlining Miami again means exactly what you think it means. It’s been 5 long years.

Of course, this implies that the adored hip-hop legend will release a new full-length album before his July performance, which would excite millions of rap lovers. Hopefully, this isn’t a misunderstanding. It’s time for Kendrick to come back.
