Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been involved in one of the most public and convoluted divorces in recent memory. Disputes have popped up at every corner. Everything from parenting to property has been publicly bickered over by the hip-hop star and his sociality ex-wife.

The pair are set for a big court showdown tomorrow over Kanye’s most recent objection in the legal struggle. Ye’s attorneys are claiming that the couple’s prenuptial agreement is invalid. The motion is strange because according to the agreement, both parties were entitled to separate property when entering the marriage.

TMZ reports that Kanye has never suggested that the prenup was invalid at any point during the divorce. West’s legal team believes that every such agreement in the state of California after 2002 should be presumed invalid. According to the law, that is only partially true.

A prenup is only considered invalid in California if one of the parties who signed it challenges the validity of the agreement. Kanye West has not done so. It is not known why his lawyers have made such a strange suggestion.

Kanye West would then have to prove that the agreement was not entered voluntarily or that the terms were “unconscionable.” Ye was represented by an attorney at the time the document was signed. It would be almost impossible to prove that it wasn’t done voluntarily.

Kim Kardashian just wants the divorce to be over so she can move on with her life. Kanye West has spent a lot of time taking jabs at Kim Kardashian and attempting to intimidate her new partner, Pete Davidson. We will see how things play out in court after Kanye’s bizarre legal maneuvering.
