The Super Bowl went down tonight, but it didn’t kick off without a little bit of a botch.

Super Bowl LVI got off to a bit of rocky start, no pun intended because Dwayne Johnson kicked things off with a rousing speech. This can be blamed on someone in production hitting the wrong button.

Before the kickoff, NBC introduced Jheno Aiko, who sang America The Beautiful. This was before country singer Mickey Guyton was set to take the National Anthem.

Someone flashed Jhene’s name under Guyton’s instead. It was quite a botch seen by millions around the world. Obviously, it was not intended.

The packed SoFi Stadium didn’t see the botch, but everyone watching at home saw it in full view.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
