Artem Chigvintsev Says Nikki Bella Was Love At First Sight — But She Was With John Cena

Dancing With the Stars contestant Artem Chigvintsev has recently revealed that he fell in love with his partner the first time they met. He even went ahead to call an executive producer to tell them about it.

The two were dance partners on Dancing With The Stars, but there was a big problem about them hooking up. Nikki Bella was with John Cena at the time, preparing for a wedding in Mexico. That engagement was called off and it took hardly no time for Nikki and Artem to link up romantically.

Artem appeared on a December 2021 episode of Nikki Bella’s podcast with her twin sister Brie, The Bellas Podcast. Nikki asked Artem what his favorite memory is of them as a couple. To that he gave a sweet reply that meeting Nikki for the first time is his favorite memory of them. The answer took Nikki by surprise.

“Favorite memory of us, well obviously I know I mean Nicole might feel a little different, but to me, just the [first] meeting, I think that was the one thing that kind of like tricked me out. I know it’s very controversial at this point, whatever, I don’t really care, but I think meeting Nicole for the first time.”

Artem Chigvintsev confessed to his DWTS partner Nikki Bella that he always knew she was the one. Artem called an executive producer and basically said he was in love with Nikki. According to Artem’s answer, it sounds like it was basically love at first sight.

“I actually called the executive producer [of ‘Dancing With the Stars’] right after our first meet and I said even said, ‘Wow, this girl’s incredible.’ Actually, I said that I think I’m in love.”

Nikki was engaged to WWE superstar John Cena when she was paired with Artem on Dancing With the Stars. She has previously said that she did not develop feelings at all for him when they were dancing together. However, she did say that they form an emotional bond for sure.

Fast forward to the podcast, Nikki was touched to hear the story from her fiance. She points out how his back was sweating while he was telling the story and Nikki found it very cute.
