It’s common for artists to perform at the opening ceremony of games with a rendition of the National Anthem, but often so they goof-up and have to face embarrassment at the hands of audiences.

There have been artists who flub the word like Lady Antebellum, Roseanne Barr who just shouted her way through and singers who wanted to mix things up a little like Fergie.

However, the self-proclaimed R&B King Jaquees, said he prepared for his performance of the Anthem to avoid embarrassment and messing up on the stage. The artist was more than thrilled to take the mic before the game.

Los Angeles Lakers were all set for their home game on Monday December 6, when the artist went on stage for his opening performance. The star also shared several posts on his Instagram account related to his appearance at the game.

Under one of his posts he said, “LA was legendary….1 of them times I’ll never forget!”. His moment quickly pulled the attention of the internet world, and of course the public had a say in this. Some were proud of him and praising his performance while some thought his delivery wasn’t as impressive.
