On Sunday, boxer Gervonta Davis defeated Isaac Cruz by unanimous decision at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Davis won the fight and added another win to his undefeated record which now stands at 26-0.

After the fight, Davis dedicated the fight and his subsequent victory to the late great Kobe Bryant. The undefeated champion announced to the arena that he and the city got this victory for Kobe.

L.A., we did it for Kobe.

Davis’s shorts for the fight had Bryant’s jersey numbers 8 and 24. He also wore a pair of green Nike sneakers which resembled Bryant’s Kobe 6 Grinch edition to the fight, further honoring the LA Laker’s legacy.

Bryant’s name is highly synonymous with the Staples Center due to his legendary history with the LA Lakers and the numerous achievements he’s had in the stadium.

Its been two years since the untimely passing of the great Kobe Bryant in a fatal helicopter crash. However, Mamba Mentality is still running strong and shall do so for the years to come.
