The November 17 murder of Memphis rapper Young Dolph shocked the world. The CEO of Paper Route Empire was on his way to get some cookies. From there, he was scheduled to hand out Thanksgiving turkeys in his hometown. Instead, he was gunned down at the age of 36.

Paper Route rapper Snupe Bandz showed up at the turkey event to keep the tradition going. Labelmate Key Glock has been quiet since the shooting. Last night, the rapper posted an Instagram story where he addressed his struggles with the tragedy for the first time. HipHopDX reported on the story.

“STOP asking me if I’m ok knowing damn well I ain’t.”

Key Glock was signed by Young Dolph in 2017. The two have collaborated numerous times over the years. Their Dum and Dummer mix tape hit #8 on the Billboard 200. Key Glock is understandably having a difficult time coping with the news.

After the murder took place, the front of Makeda’s cookie shop became a makeshift memorial for Dolph. On November 18, a man was shot at the memorial site. Three suspects in a white Mercedes-Benz opened fire on the gathered crowd. On Sunday, a man was fatally shot just feet from where the Benz was discovered.

Three men were arrested in connection with the November 18 shooting. Police are still investigating the murder of Young Dolph. Our thoughts continue to go out to the family, friends, and labelmates of this rapper who died too soon.
