The Astroworld tragedy is continuing to create bad press for Travis Scott. The deadly festival has prompted multiple labels and magazines to distance themselves from the rapper.
Page Six reports that the W is the latest magazine to drop Scott and partner Kylie Jenner from its upcoming edition. According to details, the duo were to be featured on a cover story for the magazine.
Kylie, who is pregnant with Scott’s second child, had given a detailed interview with the “Highest In The Room” singer for the magazine’s cover story. However, the November 5 incident forced a change in plans and now W employees are attempting to halt the delivery of the said magazine.
“W editors have cleared any planned coverage of Travis and Kylie from their website, but the magazine was already printed, and now they are trying to stop the delivery trucks, In the light of what happened at Astroworld, the interview and cover lines seem inappropriate, to say the least.”
Scott was performing one of his signature tracks when a stamped broke out mid performance. At least eight people died on the spot while hundreds concert goers suffered multiple injuries. Two more concertgoers, who were admitted to the hospital with serious injuries, succumbed to their wounds several days after the deadly festival.
Scott released a statement in the aftermath of the incident wherein he offered to cover the funeral expenses of the deceased. He is named in dozens of lawsuits, most of which have been filed by families of the victims.
