Master P has weighed in on the incident that took place during Travis Scott’s Astroworld performance, stating to TMZ that while there was a lot of hype surrounding the event, what happened was not at all expected.
The rap mogul performed at the venue himself eariler in the day. He was not at the venue during the tragedy, because Master P left to do another show. Although much before Travis Scott’s set. Master P claims that he never felt like things were getting out of hand or unsafe.
MP stated that nothing raised red flags for him personally, and while a couple injuries can be realistically expected at such an event, nobody could have anticipated the scope of the tragedy. He said there could have been more police in the venue as there was outside the venue.
Master P also offered his condolences to the families of those who passed away during the stampede, saying that it’s never something anyone ever really plans for.
Master P also refused to blame Travis Scott for what transpired, stating that the matter of accountability would be sorted behind the scenes. That being said, he did highlight the importance of ensuring that something like this never happens again. You can check out the video below.
