Elon Musk To Testify In Johnny Depp & Amber Heard Legal Battle

Johnny Depp is part of a very public and ongoing domestic abuse and libel case with his ex-wife, Amber Heard. The actor has been relentlessly fighting the legal battle for the last three years. Now James Franco and Elon Musk may also weigh in on Johnny Depp’s libel lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Amber Heard threw many accusations at Depp, including claims of spousal abuse amongst other things. He vehemently denied these claims and even countersued. As more details about Heard’s allegations emerged, Depp’s former partners Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis showed their support for the Edward Scissorhands star. Depp was defended by Dakota Johnson.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Actor James Franco testimonies will be in connection to the $50 million libel suit Depp filed against Heard in 2019. It is in response to the Washington Post op-ed which talks about domestic violence after which Heard also filed for a divorce. Depp believes that her accusations caused him financial losses and put his career in jeopardy.

Franco and Musk were subpoenaed on October 26, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. Both of them have had history with Amber Heard. After filing for divorce, she dated Musk on and off from 2016 to 2018. Depp has accused Heard of having an affair with Franco. The pair co-starred in 2008’s Pineapple Express and 2015’s The Adderall Diaries.

The men are ordered to “produce the books, record, electronically stored information and tangible things designated and described” — including “verbal conversations, telephone calls, letters, emails, memoranda [and] reports” by January 17 2022

Elon is to testify on January 24, 2022, while Franco is scheduled to be deposed on January 26, 2022. The documents are asked for in relation to allegations of physical injuries or harm sustained by her as a result of alleged conduct by Depp. As well as documents relation to allegations of physical abuse or domestic violence committed by either party are to be turned over.

In addition to celebrities defending him, Johnny Depp was welcomed by fans in Italy (Rome Film Festival) recently despite the bad press. Depp surely has had a terrible time, Hollywood has dropped him from major films including his iconic roles “Captain Jack”.
