Cancel culture is running rampant and it seems that Johnny Depp has been boycotted. This comes off the heels of his very messy split from Amber Heard. She is still getting work and will be in the Aquaman 2 film, but Captain Jack Sparrow claims that Hollywood has kicked him to the curb.

While speaking to The Sunday Times, Johnny Depp spoke about the crazy time in his life recently and how it led to Hollywood apparently turning their back on him. His name made movie studios a ton of cash in the past, but it seems that they aren’t offering him anything anymore.

“Some films touch people. And this affects those in Minamata and people who experience similar things. And for anything… [pause] for Hollywood’s boycott of, erm, me? One man, one actor in an unpleasant and messy situation, over the last number of years?”

He later says that he’s now trying to “bring things to light.”

“Whatever I’ve gone through, I’ve gone through. But, ultimately, this particular arena of my life has been so absurd…”

We’ll have to see if Johnny Depp’s career takes off again. No actor can be white hot for their entire career, but Depp’s star certainly shined far brighter, and longer, than most ever dream of. In the meantime, his defenders will continue calling for Amber Heard’s firing from Aquaman to no avail.
