The Las Vegas Raiders have cut Damon Arnette after a video of him waving a gun around went viral. He was also threatening to kill someone in the video.

The Raiders have seen a lot of attention in recent memory with Henry Ruggs’ situation. Now the team is getting another negative spotlight, but they are trying to resolve this quickly.

Damon Arnette was taken #19 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. During his rookie year, he posted a video on social media of him brandishing a firearm while boasting about murder. TMZ reports this video was uploaded last week.

“I swear to God I will kill you, n****. On everything I love, I will kill you, n****. You talking crazy.”

The 25-year-old also spouted off: “real deal kill you, my n****” multiple times. This release was prompt and the Raiders took action. GM Mike Mayock said that it was a difficult choice to make, but they cannot tolerate this kind of video.

We will have to see if anyone picks up Arnette after this, because he is a talented player. He’s not too savvy about social media though.
