Megan Thee Stallion‘s legal representation, Tory Lanez, and his attorneys met with prosecutors recently to discuss how they could resolve their ongoing legal issues after Megan was shot at a pool party. Lanez is accused of shooting Megan in the foot. The sides were unable to reach a plea deal.

After reports surfaced that Lanez had suffered a setback in court, the Canadian rapper responded via Twitter. The posts have since since been deleted. He quote treated a report by XXL Magazine and called the verbiage of their reporting inaccurate.

“The wording of this is amazingly inaccurate . I wasn’t “UNABLE” to do anything . They offered what they offered so I wouldn’t goto TRIAL and I DECLINED , It’s very simple … and no I will not be giving any live testimony please report real news and accurate facts . ciao”

Lanez says he didn’t make a deal because he doesn’t want to. It sounds like he plans on defending his innocence in court. Tory doesn’t think he’s liable for the shooting.

Tory followed up the now-deleted tirade with a more positive message. He said he just wants others to allow him to continue to do his thing. Lanez doesn’t think that’s too much to ask.

“Truly been staying out the way and becoming more of a positive person to myself and others …. allow me to continue. That’s all I ask”

Megan Thee Stallion was shot on July 12, 2020 at a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s house. In August, she identified Tory Lanez as the shooter. Since the sides were unable to reach a plea agreement, it appears the truth will now come out at trial.
