Megan Thee Stallion Says Fans’ Short Attention Spans Cause Pressure To Create New Music

Megan Thee Stallion established herself as one of the best Hip-Hop artists in the world right now. She won four Grammys at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony and it seems the rapper is just getting started. It seems has been under a lot of pressure to create music as well.

The rapper is also incredibly successful as she made it into Time magazine’s 100 most influential list last year and also collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé, Cardi B and many more.

As is usually the case for successful women in any profession, she has her fair share of haters and naysayers who continuously try to put her down and underplay her achievements.

While speaking with Zane Lowe for Apple Music’s New Music Daily, Megan Thee Stallion explained why she feels pressured into having to create chart-toppers often. She explained that it is due to the short attention span of fans in general.

“I feel like, today, right now, everybody’s attention span is so short, so I feel like a lot of artists are pressured to make a song that’s—you need the first thirty seconds of the song to be a smash. Because people are, you know, you lookin’ at TikTok or you lookin’ at whatever you lookin’ at, Instagram. Everything is so quick.

You wanna hurry up and do something that’s gonna catch everybody’s attention and I feel like it’s a lot of pressure to make music that you feel like everybody likes,” she added. “So, it’s like, should I make myself this one way because I want to make sure that I hold my audience’s attention, but then like, another side of me wants to make that I always cater to my Hotties. I wanna do things that keep the people in love with me that fell in love with me in the first place because I like to Rap.”

Megan Thee Stallion recently dropped a bunch of unreleased freestyle music as well. Megan Thee Stallion will continue to shine and that is simply something her haters will have to accept no matter what. She also recently revealed that she will be graduating from college this year. We will have to wait and see when she will drop more songs for her fans as well.
