Stone Cold Steve Austin is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential professional wrestlers in WWE’s history. Stone Cold dominated the WWE in late 1990’s. One can never forget his iconic feuds with chairman Vince McMahon and The Rock.

The Texas Rattlesnake retired from professional wrestling in 2003 but has continued to make sporadic appearances for the organization since. The usual trajectory of popular retired pro-wrestlers points at a successful career in Hollywood, this was however not the case with Stone Cold.

The Rock Is Making A New Christmas Movie recently, while answering questions from fans on the latest episode of Grilling Jr, Jim Ross talked about the movie career of Steve Austin and compared it with the movie career of The Rock and John Cena.

“That was Steve’s choice. He didn’t like doing them. He’s a reality show guy. He’s a guy that likes to get the production done in a few weeks as opposed to a few months. So the structure on a movie set, the hurry up and wait, we’re not shooting today, we’re going to change this, we’re going to do that, was not his cup of tea.”

The former WWE superstar starred in movies like The Condemned, The Expendables, Damage, The Stranger, Recoil, Maximum Conviction, and a few more. Jim Ross claimed Austin tried but at the end of the day it was boils down to motivation. Steve Austin isn’t really the movie guy, he didn’t enjoy being one.
