Ashton Kutcher was Steve Jobs in the 2013 biopic “Jobs.” While the movie remains polarized amongst critics even after 8 years, Ashton Kutcher apparently did his best to get into the shoes of Steve Jobs. While doing a crazy diet which the Apple founder used to take back in the day, he even had severe health issues.

Mila Kunis revealed that Kutcher had to go to the hospital twice while preparing for the role. The Ukrainian actress appeared on the latest episode of Hot Ones, where she revealed exactly what the deal with Kutcher’s health was.

Kunis said that her husband was downplaying it, and that he faced quite severe consequences for trying to prepare for the role. He was even on an only-grape diet, which is what Steve Jobs followed every day. She told the host on Hot Ones that what Kutcher did was “really dumb.”

He’s downplaying it. He was dumb. He also only ate grapes at one point. It’s so stupid. We ended up in the hospital, twice, with pancreatitis. So, fact check, yes, it was really dumb.

Kutcher had revealed in an interview in 2013 that he had to be hospitalized. He told USA Today that his “pancreas levels” were very out of control. He added that even before two days of starting shooting, he went to the hospital out of immense pain.

First of all, the fruitarian diet can lead to like severe issues. I went to the hospital like two days before we started shooting the movie. I was like doubled over in pain. My pancreas levels were completely out of whack. It was really terrifying … considering everything.

The celebrity couple recently made headlines after they said that they are not fans of showering everyday. After Jake Gyllenhaal turned his back on what he had started, Kutcher and Kunis joked about it. However, the statement had made a lot of celebrities mad, such as Cardi B and The Rock.
