Dave Grohl has undoubtedly established himself as a legend in the world of rock ‘n’ roll. Grohl was not only a part of one of the most significant punk bands, but then also went on to be a part of another very successful rock band.

More recently, the Foo Fighters frontman has put out a memoir, titled “Dave Grohl: The Storyteller.” In this memoir, Grohl, has shared the story of how he ended up joining Nirvana.

When Grohl found out that the band was looking for a new drummer, he called Nirvana’s bassist, Krist Novoselic. The bassist initially told Grohl that they already had a drummer in sight.

Fortunately for Grohl, however, that did not work out. Instead, Novoselic recommended Grohl to Kurt Cobain, and the rest, as they say, is history.
