Dave Grohl has undoubtedly established himself as a legend in the world of rock ‘n’ roll. Grohl was not only a part of one of the most significant punk bands, but then also went on to be a part of another very successful rock band.
More recently, the Foo Fighters frontman has put out a memoir, titled “Dave Grohl: The Storyteller.” In this memoir, Grohl, has shared the story of how he ended up joining Nirvana.
When Grohl found out that the band was looking for a new drummer, he called Nirvana’s bassist, Krist Novoselic. The bassist initially told Grohl that they already had a drummer in sight.
Fortunately for Grohl, however, that did not work out. Instead, Novoselic recommended Grohl to Kurt Cobain, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Grohl also announced last month that he would be taking anecdotes from his memoir to the stage. So far, the rockstar has already made appearances in London, New York City and Washington D.C.
