WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury is certainly one of the best professional boxers in the world right now. Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder were set to fight on July 24th in their third match together.
However, Tyson Fury tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year which brought an end to the match. The two are now scheduled to square off against each other in their third right on October 9th at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Prior to the match, Deontay Wilder accused Tyson Fury of cheating during their second match last year, where Fury defeated Wilder in dominant fashion.
While speaking during the pre-fight press conference ahead of their trilogy fight, Tyson Fury slammed Wilder for his accusations and called him a weak, mental person.
“I don’t care because obviously, it’s coming from an unwell person. He accused me of everything, accused his team, his trainer, the suit, injuries. Who else did he accuse? Oh, the Athletic State Commission of Nevada. They were in on it as well, the referee, whoever else – Maybe if he’d have come out with one of these excuses, then it would’ve been believable, but not fifty of them. Come on. And he can believe what he wants. What it tells me is that he’s a weak, mental, little person who I’m gonna knock spark out on Saturday night.
I beat him the first time after three years out of the ring, quite comfortable actually, (he) won two rounds of a 12-rounder. I absolutely obliterated him in the rematch. He didn’t even win any of the rounds. And in this third fight, I’d just say much more of the same.”
We will have to wait and see who will come out on top in the third boxing match between the two as fans have been eagerly waiting for the match for a long time.
