Rob Gronkowski had to sit out of the Buccaneers’ big game against the New England Patriots. His Buccs won against the Pats, but there was also a fear that Gronk might be out for even longer.

Gronkowski suffered a broken rib, cracked ribs, and a punctured lung. Those are awful injuries to sustain, but he’s still chugging along with a medical clearance on his mind.

While speaking to CBS Sports, Gronk opened up about his current injury. He is taking things day-by-day at this point. After all, his injuries really shouldn’t be taken lightly. We’ll just have to see when he is able to get cleared for action, because pulling him from the New England game was a “day of” decision.

“I’m feeling good. But I’m just going week by week — day by day — to get ready, whether it’s next week, the week after that, or the week after that. And let me tell you, I miss it. I miss being out there with the boys.”

Tampa Bay misses their star tight end, for sure. The important part is to get him healthy enough so Gronk can make a return. That was the Buccs can focus on those very important match-ups down the line as they close out another season.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
