2 Chainz established himself as one of the most distinguished rappers in the Hip-Hop world. He even went ahead and bought bootleg versions of his albums in the past.

2 Chainz also decided to make a very loud statement when it came to the fentanyl epidemic that has swept across the nation, especially Hollywood. He decided to throw a no-fentanyl themed birthday party recently.

Chainz is turning 44 this Sunday but he decided to throw a birthday bash a couple of days early as he partied on Friday night. The party was not necessarily free of drugs as he posted a video of bags of what seemed to be psilocybin mushrooms.

The reason for the no-fentanyl theme was due to a series of recent deaths because of fentanyl. According to TMZ, comedians Fuquan Johnson, Rico Angeli and Natalie Williamson all died of a suspected accidental fentanyl OD last week in Venice, California.

Michael K. Williams was also found dead last Monday in his Brooklyn apartment, and authorities found drug paraphernalia at his place. Tests are being done in order to determine whether fentanyl was involved or not. It is certainly a great initiative that 2 Chainz took and we hope such fentanyl-related deaths no longer happen in the future.
