Jake Paul is undoubtedly one of the most popular boxers in the world right now thanks to his insanely huge big-money boxing matches and the hype he builds for each of his matches. The YouTuber turned boxer also possesses a face that many people would like to punch, including his own friends.
After a lot of teases and speculation, it was finally revealed that Jake Paul is set to square off against former UFC star Tyron Woodley in a boxing match for Showtime Boxing on August 29th. The two also agreed on an interesting stipulation involving tattoos.
UFC competitor Sean O’Malley is currently one of the rising stars in the MMA world and is also a close friend of Jake Paul. While speaking to Adam 22 on No Jumper, Sean O’Malley was asked if he would ever be down to face off against Jake Paul or another influencer in a boxing match.
O’Malley made it clear that he is happy working in the UFC but admitted that boxing pays much more and is open to the idea of facing Jake Paul in the future.
“I plan on staying with the UFC, they’ve been nothing but good for me. If there is $10-$20 million bags out there being offered, you know we’ll see. The UFC don’t pay you like that, they just don’t. Eventually if I get to a Conor level and I can make that money, but I have to become champion, defend the belt, probably move up. […] I’m making good money from the UFC because they give me that platform. But if you want to make millions, it’s in boxing.”
We will have to wait and see if Jake Paul will ever face off against Sean O’Malley. Before that, Paul has to contend with Tyron Woodley, who is definitely his toughest opponent to date. We will have to wait and see if Paul will be able to topple Woodley or not in the boxing match.
