Jake Hager has been a mainstay of AEW television since making his debut on the first episode of AEW Dynamite back in 2019. He is part of the Inner Circle stable and is one of the most legitimate pro wrestlers in the company.

He is also undefeated in the world of MMA as he has yet to lose in Bellator and recently, Jake Hager made it clear he wants to face off against MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko.

Hager added that he is on the same level as other opponents of Fedor Emelianenko and plans on retiring him for good. Now it seems his comments didn’t sit well with Josh Barnett.

Josh Barnett took to Twitter and put Jake Hager on blast for demanding a fight against Fedor Emelianenko. He stated that Hager is a ‘green boy’ who only fights rookies and doesn’t belong in the same conversation.

No, it’s not. Having more followers doesn’t mean anything in terms of merit or skill in the ring. You’re a green boy who fights rookies. You don’t even belong in the conversation. Stick to AEW & getting in a few fights before you eventually lose & then quit. @RealJakeHager

Jake Hager took part in an MMA style cage fight against Wardlow on an episode of AEW Dynamite last month. While it is not known who Fedor Emelianenko’s next opponent will be, it is highly unlikely to be Jake Hager.
