The LA Lakers’ time in the 2021 NBA Playoffs did not end as they wanted it to at all. A first-round knockout is not what anyone desires, but that is what happened for LeBron James and his crew this time around. There could be a lot going on behind the scenes about this situation.

There have been calls to bring in another big Laker for the team to even things out, help LeBron a bit while he is unable to carry the entire team. A pay cut was even suggested for the man who has been proclaimed “the biggest whiner” in the NBA.

The Colin Cowherd Podcast featured the host going into this subject a bit. Colin Cowherd then revealed that there are some key players on the Lake Show who don’t get along with King James.

“The Lakers think they have a shot at him [Lillard]. That’s sort of Los Angeles delusion. The Los Angeles Lakers have players, KCP is a solid player, hot and cold, not what Portland wants. Kyle Kuzma- LeBron doesn’t get along with him. They’d love to move him, he’s kind of expensive. It’s not the kind of contract you can’t move, but it’s not necessarily team-friendly considering he disappears in big spots for the Lakers.”

A successful team needs to focus on what they can do to become a cohesive unit at all times. One man might lead the charge for the Lakers, but James can’t do it all by himself. If he has people on the team who aren’t going to stand by him then he might be in for a very long season next year as well.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
