Russell Westbrook was leaving the game on Wednesday night, but then he received an unexpected popcorn shower. A fan threw popcorn at the baller, naturally causing him to be very upset.

LeBron James commented on this video after it went viral. He called out the NBA for only showing Russell Westbrook’s reaction when he knows there were multiple cameras shooting the event. He also called for the NBA to protect their players and release that footage.

By the way WE AS THE PLAYERS wanna see who threw that popcorn on Russ while he was leaving the game tonight with a injury!! There’s cameras all over arenas so there’s no excuse! Cause if the [shoe] was on the other [foot]

Russell Westbrook was understandably upset and nobody can blame him for that. The fan was ejected from the game, but not before he was able to cause a huge scene.

The NBA Playoffs are serious business and that is no time to worry about fans throwing things on you. LeBron James seems pretty heated about this situation, and understandably so.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
