J. Cole is one of the best rappers out there. While he is dabbling with the idea of retiring, he’s still keeping strong on pursuing his dreams. The 36-year old rapper is current in Rwanda, playing basketball in the Basketball Africa League with the Rwanda Patriots.

Even though the rapper isn’t exactly matching the pro vibes with his playing, he’s still glad with the challenge that he’s facing off with. While the rapper is busy in Rwanda, the sales of his latest album ‘The Off-Season‘ has had a huge impact on the charts.

The sales projections for the album were high before the release, so it comes as no surprise to J. Cole’s fans who closely follow the data. The album has become the artist’s 6th consecutive album to have topped the charts with a sales figure of 280,00,0 in its first week.

While ‘The Off Season‘ performed brilliantly, it still fell a few thousand units short of being the biggest debut in its first week this year. The crown for that already belongs to Taylor Swift, who accumulated a lot of sales figures and 300M streams with her album ‘Fearless.’ The rapper celebrated his big win on the charts by thanking fans through Twitter.
