J. Cole the American rapper and songwriter has a new goal he wants to achieve. According to a report by ESPN, the rapper has decided that he wants to play ball at the African Basketball League.

Cole showed up in Rwanda over the weekend and he’d be playing in the Rwanda Patriots. His signing is expected to be made official by Thursday and his team will be facing off against the Nigeria River Hoopers..

Local African news outlet called The New Times took to Twitter to post a video of J. Cole appearing inside what appears to be a gym. XXL Magazine connected with Cole’s representatives in order to confirm the reported story.

Rumors have been circulating for a while about J. Cole wanting to get back in the court. The rapper had a keen interest in basketball from an early age and played high school basketball Terry Sanford High School in North Carolina. He continued to play ball in St. John’s University, after which he ended up choosing hip-hop over it.
