Pop icon Demi Lovato has always owned her experiences and holds herself accountable for the choices she makes.

The actress turned singer surprised her fans recently with the teaser of her new music video for “Dancing With The Devil,” her new single. The song’s lyrics and video featured many events in her life, the highlight being a flashback to the heart-wrenching ‘overdose’ experience in 2018.

The song, which released on March 16, 2021 moved millions of fans as the singer got “raw and real”.

The music video debuted at 11:45 P.M. ET on Thursday night. In the tease clip shared on Lovato’s Instagram page, the singer can be seen hooked to an oxygen machine on a hospital bed with tubes running through her nose.

She was wearing a hospital gown portraying the overdose scene as she sang the lyrics of the song teary-eyed. The lyrics of her new song read; “Praying for better days to come/ Could you please forgive me Lord, I’m sorry for dancing with the devil.”

Dancing With The Devil featured many events in her life, but the one that captivated fans was the one that put her in a near-death situation.

Social media commentators are incredibly proud of Lovato and are lauding her bravery. The singer had also faced a lot of health complications due to her overdose including strokes and heart attacks.

We applaud Demi Lovato on being so open about one of the most painful experiences of her life. We hope her music video serves as a cautionary tale to all those affected by drug addiction.
