Khabib Nurmagomedov Compares Preparing For Fights To Being In Prison

Khabib Nurmagomedov remains one of the most popular MMA fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. However, he effectively ended his career after his win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 last year.

Since then Khabib has been enjoying his life outside of being an active MMA fighter and it seems he doesn’t want to let that go anytime soon. The current UFC lightweight champion recently took to Instagram and uploaded a photo of himself posing in San Francisco, California.

Nurmagomedov mentioned how much he enjoyed his life outside of UFC and compared preparing for a fight to being in prison.

“Since 2012, I just dreamed of getting to this city (SF) without preparing for my fight and without any diet, just take a walk and enjoy a good meal. The answer is that I seemed to be in prison. Alhamdulillah, how good it is not to be an active athlete.”

Khabib recently mentioned how he isn’t against the idea of him returning to the UFC. Dana White is also trying to get Khabib to come out of retirement as well. We will have to see whether Khabib will decide to return to UFC.
