Rob Gronkowski is an amazing athlete, but beyond that, he’s a fascinating person. With his off-season gigs, he likes to get really creative and spend his time doing things that interest him.
This year, he’s going to be doing something completely off-the-table. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star will be coaching the University of Arizona’s alma mater Spring game, which will be held on April 24th. He will be facing another hefty contender on the other side. Tedy Bruschi, former Wildcats star who played with Tom Brady, will be on the other side of the chessboard.
Arizona Daily’s Justin Spears announced the date of the spring game and several other details on a voice call, as he stated. It’s been 10 years since Gronkowski visited an Arizona Spring game. At the time, Gronkowski had just finished his rookie year with the Patriots and made it straight to the 2010 NFL Draft.
He played with absolute dominance and control for two years straight, until he suffered a terrible back-injury, for which he had to give himself time to recover. On the other hand, Bruschi retired in 2008 to later become an analyst for ESPN.
Though the official names of the teams haven’t been decided yet, many fans are urgently rearing to use the names “Team Gronk” & “Bruschi.” While The Wildcats are in desperate need to have a push after their 0-5 season, Gronkowski is more than enough for that job.
